This Christmas will be my 5th as a Crisis at Christmas volunteer, I have thoroughly enjoyed every year supporting this awesome charity with their all year round commitment to ending homelessness.

I started volunteering in 2018, once Mum was at peace, and started out offering yoga sessions in one of the London Day Centres, in 2020 Crisis moved activities online for their hotel Guests and last Christmas I volunteered as an Activities Organiser.

After my shifts at Christmas I decided I wanted to continue to support Crisis and was thrilled to find a volunteer role in the Christmas Case Management Team, this fabulous team support Guests, referred at Christmas into one one the hotels, to end their homelessness. I work alongside Case Managers as an Admin Volunteer each Monday.

This Christmas I'll be volunteering as Activities Organiser once again AND Admin Volunteer in one of the London hotels. Looking forward to combining both of my volunteering roles (on different days) in same space.

The cost for each Crisis at Christmas Guest is £29.07 which provides

◦ Safe place to stay

◦ Hot meals & Christmas dinner

◦ Access to health & wellbeing programs

◦ Support to leave homelessness for good

Appreciate the Cost of Living crisis is real so £29.07 may not be realistic so perhaps join together with family or colleagues to help me reach my target once again.
