Exciting News: 4 Generations of Bryants will be cutting their hair. Zach and Caleb's Grandma, Dad (beard) and Nephew will also be getting a cut of some variety!

In December 2023, we found out that our dad has cancer. Wow. How do you even feel about news like that? Our dad, he's strong. He is a good father. He protects us. He does very well to hide his emotions. And pain. But there's no doubt, having cancer sucks!

It can be very easy to forget about supporting things that don’t affect you or that you don’t see very often, and that was the case for cancer. We knew that it was a terrible disease that needed a lot of treatment to even be able to have a chance at normal life, but until our Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, it hadn’t REALLY hit us.

For Zach, his hair has been a big topic in the past year. It is longer than it has ever been, and whilst he would love to keep growing it out, he sees it fitting to shave it now for a cause that is so real right now!

For Caleb, shaving his head won’t have a massive impact on his life (it’ll end up growing back as luscious as before), but he says that "if I am able to raise money for future research, spread awareness and support a family member going it tough at the moment, then why wouldn’t I?".

It is official, we will be shaving our hair fully at the end of this month to match our dad's much less hairy head and along the way raise funds for reasearch into further prevention, treatment and hopefully a cure for Prostate Cancer - a disease that will affect 1 in 6 Australian men before they even turn 85.

If you feel inclined to donate anything at all (even just the cost of a coffee), it would be greatly appreciated. It will likely only have a small impact on your life, but it will make the life of those that come after you much better and hey, it might even make your day that little bit brighter! Finding a cure is hard but if at the very least we can find a better way to treat it; a way that's less rough on the body, then every dollar is worth it!
