Story
People who know me know how much I love food. Fortunately, I have never had to worry about whether I will be able to eat. Unfortunately, there are too many people in my own community in North London - North London! - who do have to worry about that which I simply take for granted.
Food Bank Aid (https://foodbankaid.org.uk/) puts food on the table for those who need it. It is an amazing charity which every week supports 16,000 people, including 4,000 children, across 30 local food banks. I am proud to be a volunteer at the distribution hub in Finchley, where we pack and deliver groceries, as well as essential toiletries and household products, to food banks in the network according to what they need.
People who know me also know how much I love the ancient Greeks. Naturally, I decided to run my first marathon in Athens - or rather, from Marathon to Athens, following the legendary, two-and-a-half-thousand-year-old "route". I had not realised at the time of signing up that it is one of the toughest city courses in the world.
I would be so grateful if you can support me on this challenge!
