So I signed my mum and me up to do a run for Palestine inshaAllah.

We are not athletes, and my mum’s reaction to being asked if she wanted to run laps around Pearson Park in Hull was not joy and enthusiasm, but here we are. With will power to complete this challenge, whether running or walking together.

We just feel immense sadness, frustration and helplessness towards our innocent brothers and sisters who have been suffering beyond belief. We want to show solidarity and mark our stance, we stand against Genocide, we stand against Forced Starvation, we stand against Colonisation,

We stand against millions of innocent children being torn from their homes, parents and torn apart limb from limb.

May Allah help us to stand up for what is right and raise even the tiniest amount that can help relieve this unjust and heartbreaking pain and suffering.
