Story
Almost a year ago, I was discharged from hospital after breaking my neck playing rugby—an injury that changed my life in an instant. Since then, I’ve taken up running as part of my recovery, and this September I’ll be taking on the Loch Ness Marathon alongside three of my rugby pals. It feels fitting to run it exactly one year to the day since leaving hospital, marking how far things have come.
Me and my friends are running in support of Hearts and Balls, an incredible charity that provides life‑changing support to injured players and their families. Their work makes a real difference to people facing the toughest moments of their lives, and I’m proud to run for a cause that means so much to me.
If you’re able, please donate whatever you can. Your support helps Hearts and Balls continue their vital work for players whose lives have been changed by injury. Every contribution—big or small—truly matters.
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for being part of this journey.
