Zak's Skydive for Dorset Mind

Event: Dorset Mind's Annual Group Skydive · 14 July 2023
I'm incredibly boring, but care immensely about mental health.
To be slightly less boring, and to raise money for something I'm dedicating my life to, I'm jumping out of a plane for Dorset Mind in July.
Look, I'm not here to shake the penny's in the proverbial collection pot, scorning you as you skim past this post.
And I'm certainly not here to lecture you on the alarming statistics that the ONS publish year on year.
But what I will do is ask you this:
-How would you feel, if at 16, you picked up the phone to hear you'd never speak to your Father again?
-How would you feel, if you had to read a newspaper article documenting your Son's deliberate car crash fatality?
-How would you feel, if your Daughter came within a knifes edge of losing her battle with anorexia?
These are just a few of the individuals I have been close with during my immensely privileged 22 years on earth, and quite simply what I have come to understand is that everyone is affected by mental health.
It's not a virtue signaling campaign, its not a number in a spreadsheet.
It's everyone you love.
To backtrack a little bit, last year I had an epiphany regarding my life's purpose and am now embarking on the pursuit of becoming a Clinical Psychologist, because Psychotherapists such as those at Dorset Mind play a crucial role in saving lives.
When I saw close friend, Finn, share his intention to Skydive, I felt instantly that I had to stand alongside him as he has continually stood alongside me.
Now then...*jingle jingle, shake shake*...please head over to the link in my bio to donate to this incredible cause.
P.S, if we hit £1000, I'll cycle 1000km in one bike ride in August.
