Story
Next year, I am participating in the Newcastle-Gateshead Half in memory of my beautiful little sister Mia Rose Berwickš§” Who passed away in May 2012, at the age of 8.
The charity I am fundraising for is The Bubble Foundation UKš«§, a cause that holds a special place in my heart. This incredible organisation funds vital research, provides essential medical equipment, and offers much-needed support to parents and families during their most challenging timesāsupport that was invaluable to us when my sister was in the hospitalš§”
The Bubble Foundation also brings joy to children on the ward by providing toys, crafts, and games, making their time in hospital as enjoyable as possibleš§”
Ward 3 at The Great North Childrenās Hospital in Newcastle is where my sister received her care and spent a significant amount of time. It is truly an honor to participate, right here in Newcastle, where she fought so bravelyš§”
I wonāt lie, this run will be tough. However, what my sister endured was far tougher than anything I will face on that day. I am determined to push through for her and for all the children who need support now more than ever. I kindly ask for your supportāany donation towards my target of Ā£250 would be greatly appreciatedš§”
