Story
On Saturday 27 June 2026 I’m taking part in the FNAN 3K Fun Run at Pimlico Academy, London (gates open 1:00 pm). I’m running as a dad, a community member, and as a trustee of FNAN Eritrean Youth & Family Outreach (Charity No. 1187227).
FNAN is small and entirely volunteer‑led — we have no paid staff and minimal overheads — so your donation goes straight to front‑line support.
Our work is powered by ፍናን (resilience): mentors and volunteers who give their skills to help families find their feet.
100% volunteer‑led • No paid staff • Gift Aid adds 25%
What your gift helps make possible
Mental health and family support delivered by qualified volunteers — safe, culturally aware listening and guidance.
Immigration advice and signposting for new arrivals and those facing urgent changes.
Healthy Lifestyle sessions that turn good intentions into everyday habits.
Skills programmes like IT Essentials and IT Engineering that build confidence and employability.
English Conversation and mother‑tongue (Tigrinya) learning that strengthen identity and belonging.
Community connection through events, webinars and practical peer networks.
Why now
In the last programme year we’ve seen real impact: hundreds reached with timely wellbeing and legal information; lively Healthy Lifestyle sessions (a 400+ person WhatsApp community); 97 learners on IT Engineering with 28 graduates; and consistent online learning that connects Eritreans across the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. All of this happens because ordinary people give a little and volunteers give a lot.
How you can help today
Please donate whatever you can — every pound genuinely counts here.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, tick Gift Aid so your £20 becomes £25 at no extra cost.
Share this page with a message of encouragement.
Thank you for supporting FNAN’s mission. Together we can turn small, steady gifts into practical help for Eritrean youth and families — and keep every service free to those who need it.
