Munich to Milan Gravel Ultra for Action Medical Research

Zoe And David is raising money for Action Medical Research

Munich to Milan Gravel Ultra Cycle · 8 August 2026

Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children. We fight for answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face.

Story

In August 2026, David and I will be taking on our biggest challenge to date: a gravel ultra cycle from Munich to Milan, crossing the Alps on rough terrain, long climbs, with many hours in the saddle and not knowing where we will sleep from night to night.

The challenge is an unsupported one, which means we will have to carry everything we need with us.

The route is 800km with 14000m of climbing.

It will be physically demanding, mentally tough, and our biggest challenge yet, and that’s exactly why we're doing it.

As we are taking on such a big challenge we're hopeful to raise a few pounds for children's charity, Action Medical Research. For those who haven't heard of Action, their work supports breakthroughs in treatments for premature birth, life-limiting conditions and rare diseases — research that can change and save little lives.

And so, while this challenge will push us to our limits, it’s nothing compared to what many children and families face every day.

Your donation — no matter the size — will help give hope where it’s needed most. If you can support us, you’ll be backing both an ambitious endurance challenge and life-changing work for children and their families.

Thank you so much for donating, sharing, or cheering us on — it truly means more than you know!

We must also give a huge thank you shout out to the brands supporting us on the epic challenge, Lake Shoes & Chevin Cycles.
