Chay and Jensons fundraiser for Duchenne UK

Zoe Dalby is raising money for Duchenne UK

Team: Fundraiser for Duchenne UK

Pub fundraiser day · 25 July 2026

As the leading Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity in the UK, we want to find effective treatments for DMD and end its devastating impact. We’re going further than anyone has before, and we’re doing it faster, because this generation of people living with DMD can’t wait.

Story

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.

We have two local boys, Chay and Jenson who have DMD. As it’s something a lot of people have not heard of we want to help raise as much awareness around this disease as we can along with raising funds for this charity to continue its amazing work.

We are holding a fundraiser at the old wine and spirit vaults pub on the 25th July where we will have a day of fun with stalls, music, balloon tombola, bottle tombola, stocks and raffles
