Story
This February, I’m throwing dignity completely down the loo for a very important cause.
From 1st to 28th February, EVERY SINGLE DAY, I will be dancing for 20 minutes a day while dressed as a poo. That’s 28 days in a row, no days off, no flushing this challenge away early.
Why on earth would I do this? To raise money for the Bowelbabe Fund for Bowel Cancer, in loving memory of Terry, Jan, and Dame Deborah James, all lost to bowel cancer.
Bowel cancer is still something people feel embarrassed to talk about, but it really shouldn’t be. If dressing up as a poo and dancing daily helps break the taboo, gets people talking, or encourages someone to take symptoms seriously rather than brushing them off, then I’m more than happy to look a bit daft.
Dame Deborah James showed us that humour, honesty, and bravery can go a long way in raising awareness and saving lives. This challenge is my way of honouring her, along with Terry and Jan, and of turning something we all deal with into something that can do some good.
Please donate if you can, share if you’re able, and remember, this isn’t a one-off stunt, it’s EVERY DAY from 1st to 28th February. No backing out, no skiving off, and absolutely no cutting corners.
Thank you for supporting this slightly bonkers, but heartfelt, poo-powered fundraiser. Every donation helps make a real difference, and none of it will go down the drain💩
