Story

A decade on from my very first London Marathon, I’m incredibly proud (and slightly nervous!) to say I’m back at it again for 2026. This has been a goal sitting quietly in the back of my mind for years, and I was determined to make it happen.

Training hasn’t been easy and race day certainly won’t be either. There will be moments where it really hurts, where I’ll have to dig deep and push myself further than I think I can go. But that’s exactly why I’m doing it.

This time, every step I take is for a cause close to my heart. I’m raising money for the NHS Trust I work for—an organisation I see every day making a real difference to people’s lives. The dedication, resilience, and compassion of NHS staff is something I’m proud to be part of, and this is my way of giving something back.

If you’re able to support, donate, or even just share this post, it would mean a huge amount. Your encouragement will keep me going through every mile...especially the tough ones!

Pennine Care Charity is the charity partner of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. We raise funds for additional work and services not covered by the NHS core offer. Our vision is to create a happier and more hopeful life for people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism.
