After completing the Yorkshire 3 peaks our Karen wanted to complete Snowdon to raise money for ward 18 at DRI to support the care of patients further.

Kazza started her treatment on ward 18 back in September 2022 and spent several months receiving intense chemotherapy. The staff are all amazing and went above and beyond not only for their patients but for the family and friends too, so Karen wanted to give something back.

Unfortunately our Karen was unable too complete Snowdon but we promised her we would do it for her, true Kazza style she wasn’t going to let us get away with it, she told the staff we were completing it.

Karen chose to have her end of life treatment on ward 18, each and every member of staff supported Karen wishes and were amazing.

A group of Karen’s family and friends will be hiking Snowdon in September to give something back, and say a massive thankyou from Karen and us all for the care received
