Story

Kenya Overland Adventure 2025: Empowering Change and Creating Memories

In the summer of 2025, myself and 15 other dedicated Girlguiding members will embark on a two-week journey to Kenya. This trip is about more than travel; it's about making a meaningful impact. I will work on a solar power project, installing solar systems in rural homes to bring sustainable energy to communities.

I will install solar panels as part of the Napenda Solar Project. Learning about solar power and renewable energy I will be working alongside local families to install solar power systems in rural homes. I will witness the transformative power of electricity bringing light to those in need, leaving a lasting legacy of change and empowerment.

The adventure includes cultural immersion, where I will engage with local Masai tribes and learn about their traditions. I will also explore Kenya's wildlife, gaining a deeper appreciation for global biodiversity.

This experience will help me develop teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills. Your support will enable me to make a tangible impact, promote sustainable development, and create lasting memories.

Join us in empowering the next generation of leaders. Your contribution will help make this trip a reality. Thank you for your support!

Empowering Young Women: A Journey to Kenya

*Help me Fundraise for an Unforgettable Adventure*

In the summer of 2025, 16 young members of Girlguiding, aged 14-18, will embark on an extraordinary two-week journey to Kenya. This trip is not just about travel; it’s about making a meaningful impact, experiencing diverse cultures, and encountering incredible wildlife. We need your support to make this dream a reality.

*A Mission for Sustainability*

The heart of this adventure is a solar power project. Our Girlguiding members will work together to install solar power systems in rural Kenyan homes, bringing sustainable energy to communities in need. This initiative not only provides much-needed electricity but also empowers local families with resources for a better future.

*Cultural Immersion and Wildlife Encounters*

Beyond their work, the girls will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Kenyan culture. They will spend time with the Masai tribe, learning about their traditions and way of life. The adventure also includes exploring Kenya’s stunning wildlife, with potential sightings of giraffes, lions, and flamingos.

*Building Skills and Memories*

This journey is a profound learning experience. The girls will develop essential life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving. They will face the challenges of communal living, adapting to new environments, and overcoming obstacles together.

*Why Your Support Matters*

Your contribution will directly impact these young women and the communities they serve. By donating, you are helping to fund travel, accommodation, and the necessary materials for the solar project. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal.
