Next April 2027, I’ll be joining a team of Julia’s House supporters to take on an incredible five-day trek along the Great Wall of China. We’ll be hiking across rugged hills and walking for hours each day - it’s going to be a huge challenge, both physically and mentally!

But every step will be worth it, because I’m doing it for the children and families cared for by Julia’s House, families like my own. Julia’s House provides specialist care for children living with life-limiting and complex conditions, helping them and their families make magical moments and lasting memories together.

The amazing nurses and carers at Julia’s House bring expert clinical care, fun, laughter and compassion into the lives of the children they support. They also give exhausted parents a vital lifeline, with the chance to take a break, rest and recharge, knowing their child is in safe, caring hands.

Julia's House supported us all as a family when Juniper was here, and continue to support us now as a bereaved family. We are so grateful for everything they have done for us and have always wanted to be able to give something back. This is my way to be able to do that by helping to raise money for the charity that have helped us in so many ways.

I will be walking in honour of all three of our beautiful children, River, Taj and Juniper.

Walking because two of our children never got to.

Walking because every step I take on this earth, I take it with them in my heart.

Walking to take them with me on my journey towards healing. My journey to finding the confidence and the bravery I once had, to face my fears and push myself, to allow myself to be vulnerable to the challenge of the trek.

Thanks to the love and support at home from my husband Paul and eldest son River, I'll be able to walk with Juniper and Taj in spirit holding my hands along the Great Wall of China.
