My 5 day trek in the Indian Himalayas for CoppaFeel!

Welcome to my fundraising page for CoppaFeel!
This November, I will set out on a challenging, extraordinary and life-changing trek, all in the name of checking chests! Along with Gi Fletcher and some other famous faces, I will embark on a 5 day trek, hiking 9 hours a day, in the Indian Himalayas, in a bid to raise funds towards CoppaFeel's life-saving mission.
On the 1st of April 2022, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 29.
Being so young, with no family history, fit & healthy it turned my world upside down. The year that followed was consumed by hospital appointments, learning to navigate through the world of Cancer treatments.
From biopsies, ultrasounds, MRI’s, blood tests and endless injections. All leading to a lumpectomy and then a second surgery of a full nodes clearance after discovering it had spread to 3 of my nodes.
Spending the week I turned 30 in out and of a fertility clinic, going through fertility preservation of freezing embryos. To then be plunged straight into a medical menopause before starting 4 months of chemotherapy. Having to come to terms with losing all of my hair, eye lashes and nails from the harsh treatment. Adjusting to new scars, tattoos and cording. To then go through 1 month of radiotherapy to now be trying to manage the next 10 years on hormone therapy.
Finding my lump early was life saving, and I feel incredibly grateful to now be in my first year in remission!
And what better way to celebrate than pushing myself out of my comfort zone, to take on this huge challenge both physically and mentally. Now feeling passionate about giving something back, to remove this stigma of age, to help educate and spread awareness and of course to raise as much as possible for this amazing charity!

Your donations will not only support my fundraising target, but most importantly CoppaFeel!. They are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs, pecs and chests and getting to know their bodies in order to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
Any donation however big or small would really mean the world to me.
Thanks so much for your support. To find out more about CoppaFeel! head to www.coppafeel.org.
