This September, join CoppaFeel! in trekking either a half or full marathon in one day in the Cotswolds, all in the name of chest checking!

Story

Last year I had the opportunity of a lifetime and got the chance to join the CoppaTrek with G in the Indian Himalayas.

This experience sparked the start of my connection with Coppafeel, and the amazing community that it has created. And I am so excited to share that I will be returning to help support their vital work raising awareness of breast cancer, especially for younger women.

Empowering us to know our bodies and advocate for our health.

As many of you know, in April 2022 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 29.

Being so young, with no family history, it turned our world upside down.

Spending the week I turned 30 in a fertility clinic freezing embryos. To then be plunged straight into a medical menopause before starting chemotherapy. Followed by radiotherapy and now trying to manage the next 10 years on hormone therapy.

I faced challenges I never imagined, from losing all of my hair and dealing with the harsh effects of treatment, to learning to cope with new scars, cording and a medical menopause whilst navigating the emotional toll.

Finding my lump early was life saving.

And I feel incredibly grateful to now be in remission.

I've learned just how crucial it is for young people to check their bodies regularly, to get to know your normal and to speak up when something doesn't feel right. Knowledge really is power.

And so this September, I’m stepping back into my walking boots and taking on a new challenge—a long trek through the Cotswolds, all in the name of checking chests!

This time I'll be bringing Rob along with me for the blisters, alongside Gi Fletcher, and lots of other amazing humans.

Your donations will go directly to supporting CoppaFeel!’s mission to stamp out late diagnoses of breast cancer. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.

Thank you so much for reading my story and for your support.

It really does mean the world to us xx
