About Me

Running for St John Ambulance

When emergencies strike, St John Ambulance is there—saving lives, empowering communities, and training everyday heroes. That’s why I’m running the London Marathon on their behalf.

My goal is to raise GBP 2,000 (about AUD 4,200), so they can keep delivering vital first-aid training, equipment, and support exactly when it matters most.

The St John Ambulance Service is critical to keeping regional NT alive, which is how I chose to support them. I may be running in the UK - but it's the same people who save lives whether it's in the metropolitan streets of London or the middle of nowhere in the Barkly NT Australia, with no phone reception and just their skills and experience keeping them going. That is the the stuff that matters.

My Running Journey

I, like many millennials, discovered running in my search for something to keep me fit and sane. What began as a simple jog morphed into trail runs, local races and eventually full marathons.

After my son was born, I talked my husband into a “relaxing” family holiday on the Gold Coast—with one catch: I was running the 2024 Gold Coast Marathon. My favorite photo from that trip shows me crossing the line, grinning like crazy—dead last, but absolutely thrilled to be done.

Since moving to the Northern Territory, running has taken on new meaning. I helped kick off our local parkrun with friends, gained my coaching accreditation for my son’s athletics club, and found a community that shares my passion for movement and connection.

Now, I’m setting my sights on London. My husband’s from the UK, so this marathon doubles as a family trip and a chance to make a real difference through St John Ambulance UK.

How You Can Help

+Donate: Every dollar (or pound) you give helps provide first-aid kits, defibrillators and life-saving training.

+Share: Spread the word on social media or with friends who care about building safer, stronger communities (and let them know how crazy I am).

+Cheer: I’ll be tracking my progress until race day—your messages will carry me across that finish line - I can't stop now!!

Thank you for joining me on this adventure!
