Why I’m fundraising for animals for my birthday

I want my life on earth to have made a positive impact, so to mark my life on earth, I made a fundraiser that honours the lives of others.

I care deeply about all animals—sentient, feeling beings who suffer immensely at the hands of humans, particularly in industries like animal agriculture, scientific research, entertainment, and fashion. These animals live in unnatural, confined conditions, experiencing fear, pain, stress, and the devastating loss of their young. Their suffering is profound, and it breaks my heart—and makes me angry.

That’s why I’m raising funds for World Animal Protection New Zealand. (For my friends in U.S., see the other fundraising birthday campaign on the Just Giving platform raising funds for Allied Scholars for Animal Protection (ASAP).
