Story
Iraq has a long and rich history of education, with an educational system that was considered one of the best in the region but unfortunately it has suffered over time due to the countless wars and sieges that have taken place there, causing instability and disrepair in the country. Conflicts and violence have displaced millions of Iraqi citizens and traumatized communities. Sadly, 1 in 6 children in Iraq are orphans, with millions more displaced or living in poverty. These children need our help.
Without adequate support, many orphans and displaced children are forced to leave school and find low-paying and unreliable work, leading them into a recurring cycle of poverty, passed on from one generation to the next and depriving them of opportunities available to their peers.
In response to this crisis, the Al-Zahraa Center for Development in Karbala has recently purchased Madrasah al-Raheem and is working tirelessly to provide education and support to the most vulnerable members of Iraq's community. This school for orphans and the less fortunate is a beacon of hope for a generation of children who have grown up in the midst of conflict and instability. The school provides a safe and supportive environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive. It offers a full range of educational services from primary to secondary school.
The Zahra Trust is committed to ensuring that every child has access to education, regardless of their background or circumstances. They recognize that education is not only a fundamental human right but also a crucial tool for building a better future for Iraq.
However, The Zahra Trust cannot achieve this alone. They need our help to make this school's vision a reality and to ensure that it continues to thrive for years to come. Your donation this Ramadhan could make a world of difference to the children of Iraq. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every penny counts, and every penny will go towards making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
This Ramadhan, let us come together as a community and show our support for the orphans and the less fortunate in Iraq. Let's give generously, with open hearts and open hands, and let us make a real difference in the world. May Allah (swt) bless us all and accept our efforts.
