We raise funds for research that will lead to the successful treatment and eventual elimination of kidney disease. The lives of many people are seriously affected by kidney disease. Kidney failure is an extremely debilitating illness. Research is the only answer to find a prevention or a cure.

Story

Kidney funding and research falls way behind most other well known big charities. The South West Thames Kidney Fund (SWTK) is a very small charity that uses only volunteers who give their time free of charge. No salaries, no pensions, no unemployment benefits etc. This means all donations actually go to the charity and gets used in the right way. SWTK charity is also headed up by no other Mike Bending a top Nephrologist. This means we know the funds go to the right place every time.

About 10 years ago my wife was diagnosed with a kidney illness whereby both kidneys were deteriorating fast and 6 years ago my wife had a live kidney transplant thanks to her sister Gerry. Today she is fit and well, goes to the gym twice every week and lives a normal life. This is thanks to all involved from the team at Guys hospital as well as all the other people who made this possible and I thank them all.

Your donation is very appreciated and you are assured it gets used for kidney causes only. Thank you for you time reading this and any donations you have made
