Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, you're the best.

In 2022 my Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's, a condition that has no cure and only gets worse over time. Thankfully this was caught early, and with ongoing treatment the effects will hopefully be minimised for as long as possible. This year I am raising money for Parkinson's UK, who are funding research into the most promising treatments as they work towards a cure, while also providing support to those living with Parkinson's and their families.

Those who know me will agree that I don't do things by halves, so for this fundraising campaign I've already signed up for six half marathons (including one up and down Cheddar Gorge!) plus several other races, which are currently scheduled as:
Sunday 12th March - Two Tunnels Hilly Half = DONE
Sunday 23rd April - Corsham 10K = DONE
Sunday 14th May - Weston Super Half = DONE
Sunday 4th June - Two Tunnels 5K + 10K (back to back) = DONE
Sunday 16th July - Wye Valley Tunnel Run Half Marathon = DONE
Sunday 20th August - Two Tunnels City Half = DONE
Saturday 16th September - Cheddar Gorge Half Marathon = DONE
Wednesday 20th September - Virtual Vitality 10,000 = DONE
Sunday 1st October - Run Upcote (5 miles) = DONE
Sunday 15th October - Bath Half

Training for and running all of these is going to take a lot of hard work, so if you can spare any funds towards my campaign it would be hugely appreciated, and every penny will go towards the vital work Parkinson's UK are doing to support people with this condition. Thank you! xx
