Story
Ok so 20k might be a teensy bit of a Big Fat Lie...or not depending on how you look at it. It's 5k each so a total of 20k. But then I guess 50% of us are sitting pretty being pushed around in a comfy double buggy. Can you guess which two are sitting? (Excuse me whilst I have a lovely vision of Owen and I napping in the pram as the boys push us for a change.)
We are shining our running shoes and taking part in the local Park Run. This is a 5k fun run in our lovely, local Mile End Park. Aneeta's been doing "couch to 5k" with varying degrees of success since April (I take one of the boys with me sometimes which does make it harder as I'm expected to make conversation about the passing scenery whilst running!) Owen's in charge of the buggy so he may do more speed-walking than running; but the goal is there that the four of us complete the 5k course.
We're aware that we're not running the marathon, climbing Everest or flying to the moon but if you can donate a small amount to our charity we'd be very grateful.
Action Village India is where Aneeta works (I'm the Office and Communications Assistant) and they do amazing work fundraising for partner organisations in India that support causes including girl's education, maternal health, disability rights, and organic farming.
