Patrick and Miles take on IRONMAN Barcelona 2020 (now 2021!)

***UPDATE: 29.09.21***
I am pushing my boundaries to raise awareness of a stealth killer: OVARIAN CANCER.
I am in the final four days of a two-year long preparation to swim 3.9 km, cycle 180 km, and run a marathon (42km), my target time to complete this is a brisk 12.5 hours. This is the Ironman challenge.
I am raising money for Target Ovarian Cancer in the name of my mother Gale, an entrepreneur and all-round beautiful person killed by this under diagnosed disease.
The ironman challenge is the biggest challenge I have faced so far in my of my life, but it still is nothing compared to all the challenges my mum faced, and the courage and endurance she had in her fight against this unrelenting cancer.
I have now reached my target to train two GPs for a year to update their knowledge and best practice for early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
But I now want to go beyond my own circles and am asking you to help me double by total by Sunday, the Ironman challenge day.
Please help spread the word and contribute if you can. Thank you!

Mum fought her ovarian cancer for over 8 years and thanks to the amazing doctors in our NHS she was able to live her life to the fullest during this unimaginably horrible period. Ovarian cancer has poor survival rates and urgent research is needed to improve this and to help those living with ovarian cancer to survive for longer.
Target Ovarian Cancer work to improve early diagnosis, funding life-saving research and to provide much needed support to women living with ovarian cancer and their families.
To help them to continue the vital work that they are doing, myself and Miles Wagner will be taking part in the Barcelona IronMan in an effort to fundraise for this important charity.
If you don’t know already, an IronMan is an ULTRA triathlon, specifically aimed at the very fit/very stupid. Consisting of a 4km swim, followed by a 180km cycle and finished off with a 42km run, it is considered to be the hardest one day endurance event in the world.
Over the next 11 months, we will be putting in hundreds and hundreds of hours of training to get us ‘IronMan ready’.
Any donation would mean a huge amount to all of us and would provide Miles and I with even more motivation to complete this monumental challenge!
Thank you! Lots of love,
Patrick and Miles
