BUT but please also consider the voluntary bet/pledging idea. Nothing to lose there, IF I do not succeed in my challenge of going round  a recognised golf course in or under my age of 80 

My golf handicap is currently 18 , so this challenge will require me to go around in roughly 10 shots below my handicap. 

I am being told that , at my age, it is highly unlikely that I will achieve that, but for charity I will try my hardest.
