Pat’s Angels 

(Anita, Jansje, Megs, Nix, Tash, Debs, Kate, Hazel & Claire)

As a group of girls who have known each other for years, we've formed strong friendship bonds and have become part of each others families.

This year we are doing Race for Life for Cancer Research in honor of Pat Thomas, a Mom (to Jansje & Anita), a precious grandmother and a dear friend to all of us.

In April 2010, Pat was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy.  After 6 months of intense treatment in October 2011, Pat got the all-clear and had reconstructive surgery.

In October last year, Pat began suffering with backache and other pains.  In February this year a Petscan revealed that the cancer had returned and most devastatingly that it had spread.

Pat’s contribution is that she will be donating her body to science to the University of KZN for medical students to work and study on.

Our contribution is this Race for Life and asking for your very kind donations for this great cause.  We will cross the finish line with Pat in our thoughts.
