Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

After a knee operation at the end of last year I was told a Marathon was not going to be possible. But after several Half-Marathons I was determined to do one. So on the 25th April I ran 13 miles longer than I have ever run before and completed the Virgin 2010 London Marathon in 4 hours, 19 minutes and 19 seconds. Worried I might not finish I saved my fundraising until after the event.

I ran for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, a charity which raises money to fund bowel cancer research and to raise public awareness of this disease. I have pledged to raise £1966 for this fantastic charity and I need your help to do so! Please sponsor me and make a difference to the lives of bowel cancer patients and their families.

So please dig deep and donate now.
