RCN 1155001
It aims to provide information and support to members, and to raise awareness of trigeminal neuralgia amongst medical professions and the general public. Above all, it is there to provide hope and encouragement for patients who can feel isolated and depressed as a result of this excrutiatingly painful condition.

Story

My beautiful sister has suffered with trigeminal neuralgia also known as the suicide disease for 5 years.  It has been described as among the most painful conditions know to humankind.  Trigeminal neuralgia is a sudden, severe facial pain, described as sharp, shooting or like an electric shock. This is so rare people have had several teeth removed before finding out that they have this disease and no real cure at the moment.

My sister did not spend Christmas with us this year as she was admitted to hospital due to a severe TN attack.  I decided that I needed to do something to help my sister and others with this disease.

So I have decided I will not drink for the whole of January ( which anyone who knows me will no that this will kill me seeing I have a least a glass of vino everynight) and to raise funds and awareness for Trigeminal Neuralgia TN.
