Story
Lisa and I have been training hard in order to climb to the base camp of Everest followed the week after by climbing the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro at 5895 meters high!
2 Mountains in 2 weeks!!
We have spent the last 3 months training hard, hiking 12 mountains in Norway, Bike rides and walking in Sweden, gym work and training everyday, in order to prepare ourselves for what will be with no doubts, a seriously difficult 3 weeks.
Starting on 24th of October we fly to Nepal where after we travel to the start of our expedition and spend the next 8 nights climbing up to Everest base camp, reaching the camp at 5541 meters.
We have no doubt that altitude will be a big issue, walking most days above 4000 meters.
We then Travel on to Kilimanjaro, 7 days climbing Africas tallest mountain at 5895 meters.
A monstrous undertaking which we know will probably be the hardest thing we have ever done in our lives
We are doing this to raise much needed funds for our charity "Saving the Survivors" {STS}
As you may know, we are directors of the Wildlife Charity "STS" we deliver emergency and proactive veterinary care to endangered wildlife across Africa.
Please support our effort and give us that bit of extra motivation by sponsoring our trek.
Please Gift Aid your donation if you are a current UK taxpayer. This gives us an additional 25p for every £1 donated at no additional cost to you and makes a huge difference to our fundraising. Thank you for your time and donations.
