Story
CYCLING for CYNTHIA and KATE
On Sunday 23rd May I will be taking part in a 45 mile sponsored cycle ride in Sussex which is raising money for the St Catherine’s Hospice appeal. Kate was a great friend of Cynthia and though she had many health issues herself, was always quick to give an encouraging word to Cynthia and minimise her own problems. Kate spent several months in St Catherine’s Hospice and I was able to take Cynthia to visit her in December. We were so impressed with the marvellous care, love and support that Kate received and I know Cynth would approve of me taking part in this venture. In my ‘team‘ are Geoff Bragg, and John Kydd (King’s Church Horsham) together with Tom Traies and Jack Field (pupils from CH who are experienced cyclists. I’m sure THEY will all complete the course but would appreciate it if you would sponsor me for the ‘event’ and not ‘per mile’ as this will be the longest distance I have ever cycled so my little legs may complain at the assault on them!
UPDATE
Well, I made most of it but due to extreme cramp in the hot conditions I had to cut my route short to 32miles. Still, not bad for a pensioner I think! I am keeping the page live as I am hoping for more contributions from friends and family when I send round text messages!
Thank You,
Paul
