Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Paul's family have created this page in his memory to raise funds for the Alpha-1 UK Support Group.

Paul suffered from Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, also known as Alpha-1, A1AD or AATD, which is an inherited, genetic condition that is passed on from generation to generation.  It is rare and not very well known, symptoms are severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), a term that includes bronchitis and emphysema.

Paul sadly passed away on April 12th 2014, and his family want to help to raise awareness of this condition, and to fundraise to provide funds to help with research and to provide support to fellow sufferers and their families.

Please dig deep to help us raise funds, all donations are welcome.

Thank you from his parents Dave and Val Wood, brother David, sister Alison, Brother-in-Law Daryl, & nieces Emily & Abbie.
