Hey all,

I am competing in the Olympic Distance London Triathlon on Sunday 8th August. That's a 1,500 metre swim, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run. I've done little triathlons before but nothing quite like this. I've got an injured shoulder and aching muscles, but I've also got determination and a shiny new racing bike and I think I'm just about ready...

I'm doing this to raise money for Merlin, a humanitarian organization that specializes in health, saving lives in times of crisis and helping to rebuild shattered health services. They work in many countries across the world including the Democratic Republic of Congo. So whilst I'm digging deep to cross the finish line I shall be thinking about the people I met and my experiences there. Please dig deep to sponsor me.
