We're at it again!

 

Last year we smashed our target of £600, when we raised £1,417.06 with the help of JustGiving.com, running the Bupa 10K dressed as penguins. (Pingu being the charity mascot) :)

 

£600 covers roughly ten hours of research into a cure. We'd very much like to pummel our target again this year.

 

Type 1 Diabetes doesn't just go away though, and here I turn to Rose's Dad Simon to explain more first hand:

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, and is the world's leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research.

Rose was only aged 3 (Jan'06) when she was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic and every day since we have tried our hardest to look after her and enable her to have as normal a life as possible.

Finger pricks and set changes have become second nature but we have also changed school, changed hospital, changed to an insulin pump, tried sensors, participated in the Artificial Pancreas Trials and had many many many sleepless nights along the way.

Essentially Diabetes Type 1 isn't easy. Fundraising events are a great way to raise money to help JDRF find the cure, please sponsor us, your help will be greatly appreciated.
