The Peninsula Foundation supports medical research and education at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. It is a centre of medical excellence, leading on internationally competitive research into an array of conditions and diseases that affect people today.

Story

Neurologists and researchers from the Cognitive and Behavioural Neurology Unit in Exeter will be running to raise awareness of epilepsy research in the region. The group, headed by Professor Adam Zeman, is investigating how epilepsy affects memory, and developing devices to aid memory problems suffered by people with epilepsy, as part of the TIME project. The research group also studies how the brain enables us to imagine, and whether a brain region called the cerebellum helps to coordinate thought and emotion as well as movement.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Cognitive and Behavioural Neurology Unit will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
