The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My nephew is autistic, its a horrible condition which I don't fully understand. He finds it hard to relate to me as I am big and noisy and to much for him to handle. It breaks my heart that I cant have the relationship with him that we both deserve. This charity works hard to support autistic children and their families, my sister is the treasurer of the local branch and I want to raise money to help the art class that they run.

Every day is a challenge for autism sufferers and I have decided to carry out a year of challenges and suffer a little bit to raise money for them!

So far this year my challenges look like this:

March - Mighty Deer Stalker 10 mile night time cross country race (includes many horrible hills and deep, cold river crossings).

April - The Highland Fling Ultra Marathon (53 mile race from Milngavie to Tyndrum  in a day!).

June - Arranman Triathlon (1.2m sea swim, 56m bike and 13m run in Arran).

August - Aberfeldy Half Iron Triathlon (distances as above)

October - Barcelona Ironman Triathlon (The big one - 2.4m sea swim, 112m bike and 26m run).

All donations you make go straight to the charity and all entries to races are paid from my own pocket.
