My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 3. She has now grown up to be a beautiful, independent young lady.  Although, she still has my support I wanted to do something more to improve her life.  I have been running for over 15 years and wanted to contribute towards finding a cure for diabetes and improving the management of it to enable people with Type 1  to live  a normal life  as possible.  Running the London marathon seemed an ideal way to do this.
