Phil and Jan have been fostering for three years and now have three girls in long term care.  Fran, our first is about to go to university and we are committed to supporting her throughout her time to help her succeed.  According to UCAS:

• Only 6% of children in care in England, and 2% in Scotland are in Higher Education (2013) compared to approximately 40% of the general population.
• And only 15% achieve 5 GCSE's grade A* to C as opposed to 70% across the general population.

Danika, our second has decided to retake her GCSEs to get at least 5 A* to C, as she messed up the first time when she didn't have anywhere to live.  She's already done a Sky Dive of 10,000 feet raising money for ZSL and wildlife (she's still fundraising at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/danika-harris ) and she's been working independently at home to try and get her Maths GCSE this year.

And our third, Gracelyn, who joined us in February is beginning to enjoy life a bit more.  

All children should have an equal opportunity in life, and we are proud to be raising funds for POP run by our lovely friends and fellow foster carers Paul and Sam Adams.
