Nigel and I had a holiday of a lifetime to India booked in 2011. We were going to be staying in luxury hotels, travelling to the foothills of the Himalayas' for a few gentle strolls'. A week before we were due to travel he became very ill and was diagnosed with a malignant Brain Tumour. We never did go to India. Despite the bravest of battles he died two years later.

Now I am going to go to India - this time with Jamie who will be helping to push me up the steep bits. But this time there will be no luxury hotels, and no gentle strolls. We are going to trek 12 - 15k per day over tough terrain at altitude (the terrain is not a 'walk in the park'). As for the accommodation, we shall be staying in trekking lodges with no electricity, water or facilities ( will leave that bit up to your imagination) Everyone who knows me will understand that a week without a glass of wine or putting on my make up will not be easy, but mainly,  it won't be easy walking nor particularly comfortable. But that's the point. The point is to raise money for this special charity which works towards providing hope , through research, for Brain Tumour Sufferers. This trek in memory of Nigel is self funded so every penny you give will go straight to the charity.

The Brain Tumour Research Centre at Portsmouth cost £3000 per day to keep running. As a family, we  have already raised £1000, so please help us to raise another £2000 to fund a days research in memory of Nigel.Please support us as much as you can by donating generously. Thank you.
