Vodafone Big Bold Challenge 2014 · 25 September 2014

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

If you can, donate by text!  Text CALM78 and £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070 e.g. CALM78 £5.

I'm supporting CALM, the campaign against living miserably
Shockingly, suicide is the single biggest killer of young men in the UK. In 2012 there were 6,005 suicides in the UK, of which 77%, 4,639, were male. CALM exists to prevent male suicide in the UK.

So, as part of the Vodafone Big Bold Challenge, I'll be running a half marathon around Newbury, home to Vodafone HQ, and hoping to raise some funds for CALM.

The Vodafone Big Bold Challenge
I'm taking part in the Vodafone Big Bold Challenge 2014.  Vodafone is organising bike rides, runs and walks that all take place on 25th September to help raise funds for charities close to the heart of participants.  Through Matched Funding, the Vodafone Foundation will match your donations up to a maximum of £350 per quarter.
