Royal Marsden 150km Cycling Challenge · 23 May 2010

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Story

Thank you for visiting Matt and Jon's 150km cycling page. Many of us know numerous people who have suffered from cancer and the Royal Marsden hospital is a leading institution for treating many types of this terrible disease. They suffered a serious setback recently through a fire which impacted their ability to care for patients. One of these happened to be Matthew's mother in law, though treatment was still possible and she is thankfully now in remission. This is our way of thanking them for all they do. Please take a moment to review the gradient profile of the route below. We shall cycle from the Royal Marsden in Surrey through the North and South Downs to Brighton and back. This includes the horrors of "Ditchling Beacon at the 62km mark" which has been know to challenge far greater men than us.

We appreciate you may already choose different charities to contribute to and thank you for visiting our website or donating to this worthwhile cause.

See you in Brighton and back again!!

Matt and Jon
