My 10 year old daughter Portia recently heard about the wonderful work the Little Princess Trust does creating wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer or other illnesses.  She has now decided that she would like to donate her hair to try and help others and to also raise money for the charity in the process.

Portia has decided she would like to raise £1500.00 in order to help as many children as possible.  On 19/03/2016 regardless of the amount raised Portia will be visiting a hairdressers and having her hair cut short.  Portia loves her long thick hair but she said she knows it will grow back and its more important to help others.

As a mother I am so proud of my daughters wonderful sense of selflessness.  We are not a family with much but I instill an importance to help others regardless of your own wealth in all my children and I completely support Portias decision.  I hope that with your help she can not only raise her target amount but hopefully smash it!

Please give what you can to help this wonderful organisation help as many children as possible feel a little happier through what could only be described as a truely horrific time.  No child should have to go through what they do but hopefully this will make their journey a little less distressing for them as possible.
