HTB is a vibrant Anglican church in the heart of London, with a vision to play our part in the evangelisation of the nations, the revitalisation of the church and the transformation of society. We are one church on four sites – Brompton Road, Onslow Square, Queen’s Gate and Courtfield Gardens.

Story

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED and now hobbling our way to work!

We've added a few of the photos here, or check out the full photo story of our journey at the link below

On Sunday 25th October Alice, Matt, Dane & Tom slipped on their walking boots, ditched the Underground and went overground.  Oyster cards were replaced by the London A-Z as we attempted to trace the London Underground's Circle Line route up on the bustling streets of London.

Ending up where we began, our roundabout journey of 16 concrete-pounding miles, started and finished in South Kensington, stopping off at all 27 London Underground stations along the way for a photo.

£ Poundabout?

Our reason for this roundabout route is to fundraise for a Global Alpha Training (GAT) event we will be running on 4 - 7th November 2009 for the people of the Seychelles and the wider Southern Africa region.  The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten weeks and is run in churches all over the world.

The vision for the GAT programme is to 'release Alpha expertise to train people in regions yet to run courses', and our event will cover training on how to run Alpha in the delegates' context, looking at ways to develop Alpha in the Seychelles and the wider Southern Africa region.  To find out more about the vision for GAT, take a look at the video below:

In addition to the GAT event we will also be visiting a local orphanage in Mahe Island to spend time with the children and help their local leaders with general upkeep of the orphanage.

We need to fundraise around £5000 to cover flights, local travel costs, food, accommodation, and gifts for the children - so every prayer and penny would be gratefully received!

Thank you so much for all your support, it wouldn't be possible without you.

Love

Alice, Matt, Dane & Tom
