None of us can quite remember who first suggested that we enter the 2007 6 Peak Challenge and unsurprisingly as the day of reckoning beckons nor is anyone now willing to admit it either ! However as the reality of climbing the 6 highest peaks of Great Britain in under 72 hours looms out of the rain and mist for which our country is famous some of us are panicking just a little .
Our team comprises an interesting mix of youth and experience with varying levels of fitness. The ''mountain goats' amongst us will no doubt surge ahead and try to run up the mountains forgetting that '' Good old Nanks'' has to qualify too and can't be left for dead whilst the vultures circle around overhead looking for lunch .
Not being able to find a mountain higher than Box Hill (600 ft ed) anywhere near Canary Wharf has forced us to make the gym our friend for quite some months now but have we done enough ? ,we hope so as its too late to back out now. Its going to be tough and sweaty and it will probably rain but we are determined to succeed and would very much appreciate your help in raising money for WATERAID as we do so.
