Hi All.
Thanks for visiting my 2008 NYC Marathon fund raising page. The NYC Marathon goes straight past our apartment in Harlem and this year, as all the runners zoomed past, in a moment of insanity I felt inspired, and got this crazy notion that somehow I too could run for 26 miles and compete in this mad event. Thinking I was fairly safe and that no one would actually dream of letting me do this I glibly filled in an application to the Prostate Cancer Charity. Imagine my shock 3 weeks later when my entry papers came through. Too late now, so now all I need is to get fit and raise a heap of dosh.
Seriously though, I have been training pretty hard for this of late and racking up some serious mileage. So please dig deep and pledge some of your hard earned money for the Prostate Cancer Charity. 1 man dies in the UK every hour from this disease and they do some great things around prevention education and also providing services for those effected by the illness.
