Story

Over the summer 3 of my children are going to take on challenges to raise money for Team Archie, a charity which helps young people realise their potential in fields ranging from sport to drama, dance and music. Although none of us knew Archie Lloyd, who was tragically killed while on his gap year, his brother Hugo has worked for PT Ski for several years in peak weeks and we would love to support the family in this fantastic and worthwhile endeavour.

First up will be Wilf who over half term will be going up to the Lake District and over 2 days will undertake a 24 peak challenge, including some of England's highest mountains such as Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, Great End and Great Gable.

At the beginning of the summer holidays Sam will cycle from Land's End to John O Groats. The chosen route is about 1000 miles long and the plan is to complete it in 11 days.

Last but not least, later in the summer holidays India will attempt one of the toughest challenges in Wales, to stand on all the Welsh 3000ft peaks (there are 15 in all) in the space of 24 hours, without using any form of transport.

I also need to get fit as I will be accompanying them on all of their respective challenges!
