On May 27th I ran the Edinburgh Marathon in a time of 4 hours 28 minutes 29 seconds ( not bad for a man of my advanced years!) to raise funds to decorate our lounge at Community Links which looks very tired and desperately needs to be freshened up (I have been in touch with a painter and decorator and been given a brilliant price for the work!). I have purchased a second hand sofa (£70) from the Sense Scotland shop in the Wellgate centre to replace the current one.

Thanks to everyone for their brilliant support thus far, for which I am delighted and totally overwhelmed with.

Our initial target of £500 has been achieved which will provide a much needed new lounge carpet and laminate or vinyl flooring for the people we support at  Community Links in Dundee. Thank you so much for this. On Friday 25th May I received welcome news that Sense Scotland will cover the cost of the flooring (£500) which will allow us additional funding for other improvements. Both at Community Links and Hillview.

Delighted to announce or revised target of £750 had been achieved and surpassed  which really is amazing news for the people we support. As I write £905 has been pledged on this page (costs to be deducted) and £181 has been paid directly to Sense Scotland from me.

So what will your brilliant financial support do? This will allow us to do everything highlighted above. Plus we plan to purchase scales to weigh the people we support in the service on a regular basis. Anything over and above that will be used to benefit the people we support both at Community Links and Hillview as part of the Dundee Support Service team.
