Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

------------------------------------ Update (Sept 19) -------------------------------

As the pivotal event in the drive for raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society this year, a diverse group from across Raytheon UK  undertook the mammoth task of traversing the length of Wales by bicycle last month (Aug).

It was a challenge of monumental proportions, and combined with some truly biblical (and typically Welsh) weather, made for difficult viewing let alone undertaking. Nonetheless the event was a massive success that saw all those that started in South Stack (Holyhead) make the utterly epic journey to Cardiff in one piece, and surprisingly with smiles all round!!!

Thanks to all those that supported the event and this extremely worthwhile charity! If you have yet to donate here are a few reasons to do so (it’s never too late):

- Distance Covered: 255 miles (410km)
- Time in the Saddle: 19hrs 22mins
- Elevation Climbed: 21,105 ft (Think Himalayas)
- Calories Burnt: 9,971 kcal
- Total Heart Beats: 160,356
- Weather Endured: Typically Welsh!

...and here are the highlights of it all, happy watching:

The MS Society is a world leader in MS research and right now they are funding around 70 world-class research projects that cost over £19 million.

The Charity has launched its UK wide 'Stop MS Appeal' this year which aims to raise over £100 million for research, believed to put an end to MS by providing more effective treatments for everyone affected.

We are proud to be supporting the Charity in their continued efforts to support and thwart Multiple Sclerosis and have pulled together a calendar of charity events for 2019, the pivotal event being the gruelling bicycle ride that is 'Wales - End to End'. Six employees from across the UK (R6 Saddlers) will be taking on this event, with the motivation being to complete it as a team with a smile along the way and to raise as much money for the MS Society. The challenge itself it to cycle the length of Wales (fully supported) as a team. Setting off from the country's most Northly point (South Stack, Anglesey) we will arrive in its beautiful capital (Cardiff) 3 days later having covered ~260miles!!

Your donations in support of this event and all other charity events conducted throughout the year will be gratefully received. Thank you in advance for supporting this hugely worthwhile cause.
