Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As many of you know, I'm already involved in fundraising activities for the Midlands Branch of the EEIBA throughout the year, so when the charity asked their members if they would like to take part in the 2013 London Marathon my passion for fitness meant that I could indulge in a once in a lifetime challenge opportunity at the same time.
For those of you that know me well, you know I will finish what I start so if I'm crawling up the Mall on hands and knees after 26.2 miles wrapped in a bit of tin foil, then so be it...I promise not to catch the bus between markers and I will earn your generous donations.
After much arm twisting and copious amounts of wine, I'm lucky to have the support of my best friend Sue Knight who will run alongside, me no doubt moaning all the way.
Between us (and we know a lot of lovely generous people) we hope to raise £1600.
The EEIBA is the only charity to help those in hardship or distress who work, or have worked in the electrical and electronics industry. The charity offers help and assistance to all age groups, from the youngest child to the oldest pensioner, anywhere in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Our support is also extended to dependants.
Over the last 100 years, the charity has assisted people from all backgrounds and age groups from all over the United Kingdom.
The EEIBA provides support in a number of ways, examples of which include:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now...
Thank you so much for helping to make a difference.
