Story
Crazily, I’m cycling around Burundi for 7 days from 27 May to 4 June. This is one of the poorest countries in the world, in central-east Africa. We’ll be averaging 100km per day, and the route is very hilly (total 15,000m of climbing). By doing this I’m hoping to raise £3,000 to support the amazing work of Great Lakes Outreach (GLO). I would love you to donate if you are able, to help GLO continue to provide education, health care, micro business loans and all the other awesome things that they do. For example, £5 could buy a health insurance card which would cover a family for three years, £15 could buy a goat and help lift a family out of extreme poverty, a £40 loan could provide the capital to start a small business and £150 could buy a sewing machine to help train vulnerable women in tailoring skills, giving them a chance to provide for their families. And £60 per month could support an orphan or vulnerable child at Homes of Hope. I’m paying all my costs so every penny you give goes directly to the charity.
