ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

Story

LAND'S END TO ISLES OF SCILLY

We plan to embark on a MASSIVE challenge by taking on one of the roughest sea crossings in Europe. Past unpredictable currents & weather conditions caused by the meeting of Atlantic Ocean, Irish Sea and English channel lay the historic Isles of Scilly!

We will be using state of the art Folbot folding expedition kayaks that can be disassembled into a rucksack (to get them onto the Helicopter!) and comprise of an aluminium reinforced frame with Hypalon fabric hull. Our aim is to complete the crossing in one day during July 2008 in a suitable weather window.

Many thanks for your support. Raf Leadbetter and Rob Thomas.
